Winter is a time to soak yourself in warm and comforting foods which can make your wintertime a great one to be in. Consuming good nutrition and certain fruits and vegetables during this time can help you be healthier, more immune to the extreme weather, and give you comfort. 1) CARROTS

Carrots are a must during wintertime. Carrots are high in the antioxidant beta-carotene and convert into Vitamin A in your body. They keep you warm throughout the day and have vitamin C and lutein which are immunity boosters keeping you healthy during extremely cold weather. Having them in form of salad, cooked vegetables, and a warm soup can be your savior this winter.

These are packed with fiber, beta-carotene, vitamins A and C, and also low in glycemic index. Making desserts out of these or having just boiled is a good option.

3) CITRUS FRUITS

4) POMEGRANATES

This vibrant juicy fruit can be such a delight during wintertime. Being packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatories. These can support heart health and help fight infections. Topping all your salads or consuming a fresh juice out of these will keep you fitter and energetic all the time.

5) BEETS

The last one to make it to the list is beetroot from using it in a salad, dip, juice, pasta, or soup, they fit in almost everything. These are rich in vitamins A, B, and C, as well as potassium and folate. Beets have naturally occurring dietary nitrates which increase nitric oxide improving blood flow and keeping you fitter.
